The East Sussex Credit Union signed up to The Women in Finance Charter in July last year and the latest report and targets have been released by HM Treasury where the companies involved have pledged the following:
- 77 financial firms have committed to having at least 30% women in senior roles by 2021
- 23 firms have committed to a 50/50 gender split in senior roles in 2021.
The Charter reflects the government's aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms. This is a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory companies to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry.
